Petit Fours for Queen Elizabeth's Birthday at Duane Park Patisserie
Petit Fours from Duane Park Patisserie are one of my favorite desserts. This little french bakery is right next store to Real Pilates on Duane Street, and is our go to spot for birthday and other celebratory cakes. Seriously, this little gem has fabulous cakes and things (Nutella croissant, anyone?).
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II turns 90 tomorrow, and to mark this occasion, Tribeca’s own Duane Park Patisserie has created a set of homemade petit fours that celebrates the Queen’s British roots. The dessert is infused with the perfectly balanced Boodles Mulberry Gin, which bursts with notes of raspberries and currants and is reminiscent of the British tradition of sloe gin.
Just like Boodles Gin, each set of petit fours are made with labor and patience by Chef Madeline Lanciani. The designs on the cakes celebrate Britain’s longest reigning monarch.
Available in 4 and 12-piece boxes and retailing at $18 and $35, respectively, these delightful bite-size cakes will be available in-store for one day only tomorrow, Thursday, April 21st, but you can also order them on line starting today! Duane Park Patisserie is located at 179 Duane Street, NYC.
Best of all, petit fours are small cakes, so you can enjoy them without binging on sugar!
Happy birthday Queen Elizabeth!
